Well the fact is, I'm actually a Rock & Roll Lead Guitarist without a band right now. I've been playing Lead Guitar for 40 years but have been having a lot of fun lately providing my Sound System to various types of Live Bands (Rock, Reggae, Island, Acoustic,...).
Lately, I've been trying to expand into working Special Events, Parties, Battle-of-the-Bands, etc,... to keep my schedule full. I'm starting to get pretty busy and, again, it's a lot of fun!
Since I've been an Active Musician for 40 years, I know what a band and music are supposed to sound like. I've really come to believe that the BEST Sound Guys are the ones who have played in bands for many years themselves. Formal training is great, but no one knows what a band should sound like better than a seasoned musician. So there! That's my story and I'm sticking to it :)
Actually, I've really had to study hard, experiment alot, and ask advice of other Musician/Sound Guys to get to where I'm at today. But now, I like to think I've got a pretty good handle on the technical "Knob Tweaking" part of all this as well. So all that, along with 40 years of playing, will allow me to make you, your band, or your show come off just like you would hope it will - Top Notch!!
